Our Staff

​The Reverend John J. Hassler has served as a pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Jim Thorpe for 26 years. He was called to serve Christ Lutheran Church after receiving a master of divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 1997 and completing a joint internship at St. John Lutheran Church in Melrose Park and Lutheran Children and Family Service in Roslyn. He did his undergraduate work at Pennsylvania State University, State College. Pastor John and his wife Tracey of 30  years are both originally from Pine Grove, PA.  They are the proud parents of two children, and their family is very active in the community as well as the church. In his 'free time', Pastor John enjoys fishing, and spending time with his family.
